BLUCHER

Robert F. Blucher, age 64, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2024, at his home in New Braunfels, Texas. Throughout his battle with glioblastoma he displayed his unwavering faith through his courage and determination while maintaining his patented humor.

Born on September 17, 1959, in San Antonio, Texas, to Richard and Peggy (Gerfers) Blucher. He attended John Marshall High School in San Antonio, where he lettered in football. Afterwards he attended and graduated with a BBA in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Texas at Austin. Bob worked as a Petroleum Landman for over 35 years, eventually retiring from Anadarko Petroleum in 2019. Professionally, his expertise and ethical approach to business garnered him respect within the industry.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Peggy Blucher; and brother, George Blucher. He is survived by his wife, Delana Blucher; son, Ethan Blucher of Midland, Texas; daughters, Lauren Willett and husband Brock of Magnolia, Texas, and Paige Bentley and husband Newell of Kerrville, Texas; grandson, Luke Willett; sister, Rebecca Leader and her husband, Bill of Bandera, Texas; and brother, Rick Blucher of San Antonio.

Visitation will start at 10:00 am Thursday, July 11, before the service.

Interment in Coker Cemetery will follow the service. The pallbearers will be his son Ethan Blucher, sons-in-law Brock Willett and Newell Bentley, his brother Rick Blucher, his brothers-in-law Brandon Hyatt and Jared Hyatt, his nephews Chris Leader and Garrett Blucher.
