Mrs. Lottie Maltsberger Carey, age 87, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, February 12, 1985. She was a member of Braken United Methodist Church. Mrs. Carey was a descendant of the founders of The Coker Settlement. Survivors: Husband, Edwin W. Carey; sister, lora Teel; brother and sister-in-law, John A. and Ruby Maltsberger; sister-in-law, Ruby Maltsberger, all of San Antonio, Tx.; numerous nieces and nephews. Service Friday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock in the Colonial Chapel of the Porter Loring Mortuary, the Dr. Paul F. Perry and the Rev. Albert Louden officiating. Interment in Coker Cemetery.
