Mrs. Ed L. Cosper nee Jo Ann “Jody” Maltsberger passed away on
Wednesday, June 7th , 2023 in Kerrville, Texas at the age of 87.
She was born on August 17, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas to Clayton and Amy McCullough
Maltsberger.
Jody married Ed L. Cosper on June 22nd, 1957 in San Antonio, Texas. They ran their own
dairy farm for 30 years. They raised two children Susan and Scotty. She worked 20
years for Kendall County EMS serving the Comfort area. Jody was very active with the
Kendall County Livestock program for over 25 years. After her husband's passing in
1986 she went to work at Lindner Feed for over 30 years.
In her free time she enjoyed her animals, gardening and the occasional casino trip.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Ed.
Mrs. Cosper is survived by daughter: Susan and Robert Reissig of Zapata. Son: Scott
and Debby Cosper of Comfort. Grandchild Ben Cosper of Comfort.
The family will have a visitation on Sunday, June 11th from 3 to 5 P.M. in the chapel
of the Schaetter Funeral Home, Comfort with a Funeral Service on Monday, June 12th
at 10 A.M. in the chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home, Comfort.
Graveside services and interment will follow at 1 P.M. in the Coker Cemetery, San
Antonio.
