JESS P. HAMPTON, 69, died August 15, 1988 in Houston, Texas after a long illness. Born in Pleasanton, TX., he was a Veteran of U.S. Navy WW II. He attended the University of Texas and became a builder and land developer in Austin, and Houston. He was a member of St. Frances Episcopal Church in Houston. Survived by wife; Fay Hampton, two daughters, Bridget Moffitt of Corpus Christi, and Jennifer Reekwald of Houston. Three sisters; Mrs. Winnifred Guly of Natalia, TX., Mrs. Rose Greener of Hurst, TX., and Mrs. Leatha Choquette of Austin, TX. and one brother; Lloyd Hampton of Austin. He also leaves two beloved grandsons; Austin and Barron Moffitt of Corpus Christi, and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at St. Georgias Episcopal Church in San Antonio, TX. on August 18, at 11:30. Interment will follow at family cemetery, Coker Cemetery, 231 E. North Loop Rd., San Antonio, TX.
