Wilma Jeanette Stanfield Jones, age 96, passed away on Saturday, November 09, 2013, in San Antonio, TX. She was born on September 7, 1917 in Black Water, MO to parents, Craig James Stanfield, Jr., and Daisie Mae Dorflinger Stanfield. Jeanette graduated from Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio, TX; she graduated from Incarnate Word College with a Bachelor of Arts degree; and later graduated from Southwest Texas University in San Marcos earning a Master's degree. Jeanette taught at Coker Elementary School, Alamo Heights High School and for the San Antonio Independent School District for many years. She was President of the Sasanqua Garden Club. She was a long-standing member of Coker United Methodist Church throughout all of her adult life, and together with her husband helped write the history of Coker United Methodist Church. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Vivian Royce Jones, who passed away March 4, 2011. She is also preceded by her parents, her brother Ray, and her sister Dorothy. She is survived by her grandson, John Touchton of Washington, DC; her brother-in-law, LTC Garland M. Jones, USAF retired; sister-in-law, Berath Jones, and several nieces and nephews.
