V. L. (Ungie) Jones, age 83 of 12215 Jones-Maltsberger Rd., died Friday at a local hospital. He was a life resident of Coker Community, a retired civil service worker, and member of Coker Methodist Church and Woodman of the World. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Bertha Coker Jones; sons, James L. Jones, Albuquerque, N.M., V. Royce Jones, San Antonio, Garland M. Jones, Fairborn, Ohio, Reginald C. Jones, Houston; sister, Mrs. Beatrice Jones Harper, Chatsworth, Calif.; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. Service Monday at 3 o’clock at Coker Methodist Church, the Rev. C. Robert Grimes officiating. Those who desire may send memorial gifts to Coker United Methodist Church or Coker Cemetery.
