Memorial Services for Mrs. Bernice Jones Nagel, 87, of Kerrville, who died and went to be with the Lord and her savior on March 22, 2003, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 26, 2003 at the Chapel of Overby Funeral Home with Rev. Frankie Enloe officiating. Burial will be held privately. Mrs. Nagel was born August 15, 1915 in San Antonio, TX to Eldred and Frances Jones. She was a graduate from Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio. She was married to Arthur W. Nagel on June 2, 1941. In early married life, Bernice enjoyed membership and work with the Bexar County Home Demonstration Club. Later she enjoyed the meetings, the work and members of the Grange in Boerne, TX. Bernice and her family have been members in the past of Coker United Methodist Church in San Antonio, TX and of Boerne United Methodist Church of Boerne. She enjoyed traveling and camping with kinfolks in the southwestern states. She enjoyed greatly the God given beautiful outdoors and God's creatures and birds. Bernice had great peace and joy in seeing her two sons become successful businessmen, marry with their lovely wives, creating Christian families. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother (Oma) and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Arthur of Kerrville, TX; two sons, Gary Edward and his wife Sandra Nagel of San Antonio, TX and Bruce Dean and his wife, Nancy Nagel of East Hampton, Long Island, NY; grandchildren, Ashley, Adam and Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Lucille, and infant child. She is also survived by a sister, Mary Rudasill of Kerrville; two brothers, Eldred Jones [Gerald Edward (Jerry) Jones] of Palm Springs, CA; and Charles (Chuck) Jones [Eldred Charles (Chuck) Jones] of Houston, TX and many cousins. Memorials may be made to Cypress Creek Community Center, Route 1, Box 122, Comfort, TX 78013 or to the charity of one's choice. Overby Funeral Home of Kerrville is in charge of arrangements.
