Mr. Sylvan Elwood Townsend, went to be with the Lord on February 7, 1986, at the age of 84 years. Mr. Townsend was a lifelong resident of San Antonio and a rancher and dairyman for 40 years. He was also a member of the Associated Milk Producers Incorporated. In addition, he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed both hunting and fishing. Mr. Townsend, a loving and caring individual, was preceded in death by his first wife of 39 years, Lola Maltsberger Townsend and his two brothers, Luther Townsend and Alfred Townsend. He is survived by his wife, Leta Mae Townsend; stepdaughters, Cheryl Jones and Susan Borchers; 4 granddaughters; 2 great grandchildren; 1 nephew and numerous nieces, relatives and friends. Services Monday afternoon at 3 o’clock in the Georgian Chapel of the Porter Loring Mortuary, the Rev. James H. Ennis officiating. Pallbearers: Frederick W, Jones, Bruce Borchers, Sylvan Gurinsky, Terry Russell, Joseph Paglira, Roy Ridinger, III. Interment in Coker Cemetery. Arrangements with
