VOELCKER

Minnie Alma Voelcker passed on December 6, 21000 [2000]. She was the wife of Max H. Voelcker and the daughter of William B. Tomerlin and Maggie Maltsberger Tomerlin. She was born at their homestead on Coker Lane on December 3, 1905. She was a lifetime resident of Bexar County, TX where she and her husband, Max H. Voelcker, operated a successful dairy farm for many years off Voelcker Lane which then was many miles out in the countryside. Minnie and her husband worked hard in every operation of the dairy: administering to the livestock, operating milking equipment, overseeing hired help, and delivering milk to market. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max H. Voelcker, who died on August 7, 1980. She believed in the value of family and hard work. She enjoyed the companionship of her husband and also enjoyed hunting, dancing and fellowship of her many friends. Visitation shall be from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., today, December 7, 2000 at Roy Akers Funeral Chapels and a Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. at Coker Cemetery on Friday, December 8, 2000. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Boysville, Muscular Dystrophy Association or to the Arthritis Foundation.
